Delivery & Operations

For teams that are busy, stretched or context-switching, and need clearer ways of moving work forward.

The situation

Work is falling through the gaps. Teams know what needs to happen but not who is doing it or when. Projects are running late, not because of a lack of effort, but because of a lack of structure.

Context-switching is high. People are in back-to-back meetings but the actual work is not progressing. There is a great deal of activity, but not much momentum. Leadership is being asked to make decisions without the right information to make them well.

This pattern is common. It tends to get worse as the organisation grows, not better.

When you might need this

  • Delivery dates are consistently slipping and no one is sure why
  • Team members do not have a clear view of what is most important right now
  • There are too many competing workstreams and not enough coordination between them
  • You are scaling the team and the informal ways of working that used to function are breaking down
  • A critical project needs dedicated senior oversight to land on time and on scope
  • You need to move fast on something that matters and do not have the capacity to lead a sprint internally

What we do

We come in as a delivery lead, not a project manager with a spreadsheet. We take responsibility for the pace and clarity of the work, and we operate alongside your team rather than above them.

This typically includes:

  • Running a structured kick-off to align on scope, ownership and milestones, so everyone knows what done looks like before work starts
  • Setting up a lightweight delivery rhythm that gives the team visibility without adding unnecessary process overhead
  • Managing dependencies and unblocking the things that are slowing progress
  • Keeping leadership informed without creating reporting burdens that distract from the work itself
  • Closing engagements cleanly, with a clear handover, documentation and a team that knows how to continue without us

How we measure success

The work is done when the thing that needed to move has moved, and the team can carry it forward without us. We do not extend engagements for the sake of it.

What to expect

Delivery and operations engagements are typically fixed in scope. We agree upfront what we are delivering, when we will be done, and what done looks like. Scope changes happen, but they are discussed openly rather than absorbed silently.

We work alongside your team. The systems and habits we introduce during an engagement tend to stay in place when we leave, because we build them with the team rather than for them.

How to start

Tell us about the piece of work that is stuck, or the workstream that is not moving at the pace it should. We will ask a few direct questions and tell you honestly whether this kind of support is the right fit.
